I am a therapist that will meet you at the intersection you are in, in this system. I will walk beside you, using the map you already carry, to guide your growth. I believe in empowering YOU, to find your inner strengths, to find your inner voice, and to “dig up” your experiences to identify the “root issues” to grow from your roots. It’s going to be messy, and some things will not heal with time. We will dig together to help you reclaim your story, reroot yourself, connect with others, and grow through in.sght towards a meaningful life.

Outside of therapy, I love to recharge through reading, playing with my two dogs (Kalea & Katsu), karaoking, immersing myself in nature, watching anime, and experiencing what the world has to offer.

A Garden of Knowledge

My journey to becoming a therapist began at a very young age with a passion for helping children and adolescents feel emotionally heard and seen which led me to obtain my Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology at the California State University of Long Beach. This led me on a path to continuously seek work in the mental health field (i.e. group home, foster care, therapeutic behavioral coach). I sought further education to understand human behavior, family systems, and relationships at Alliant International University and received a Master’s Degree in Marriage and Family Therapy.

Why GROW WITH IN.SGHT Therapy?

This logo and spelling are all about perspective. The plant logo is of the philodendron splendid plant a hybrid between philodendron verrucosum and philodendron melanochrysum. Although you may see some browning on the leaves and imperfection, the plant can still thrive and grow despite the imperfection. Like plants, we need a place to root ourselves and grow. We seek sustenance, experience stress with change, seek support to grow, and find specific environments that help us thrive. We are rooted in history. We stem from rich culture, heritage, and lineage. We branch towards family, friends, found family, and community for support. We are imperfectly perfect communal beings.

I find introspection within yourself and to your roots helpful to begin the transformative process toward healing and change. Building insight with self-awareness and branching towards connection by reclaiming your past, present, and future. The process can be about looking inward and building insight through plants or finding the “i” in “in.sght” to understand the who, what, where, when, and why throughout your life. To grow through reclamation from INSIGHT.
